About Block 52

Block52 is the new podcast focused on sharing quality information with the most interesting voices from the German speaking and European blockchain community. Our aim is to be a relevant and reliable source about the industry and its latest developments as well as challenges. A variety of formats from interviews, group discussions and feature stories will keep the weekly airing podcast entertaining. Authors are Katharina Gehra, Prof. Philipp Sandner and Philipp Schulden at the start, but we will be enhancing our distinct areas of expertise in the blockchain space with additional co-authors over time. It is not about the individual, it is designed to be the most intriguing platform for the most inspiring technology of our generation.

Prof. Dr. Philipp Sandner   Prof. Dr. Philipp Sandner was ranked as one of the "Top 30" economists by the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ), a major newspaper in Germany, in 2018. Further, he belongs to the "Top 40 under 40" – a ranking by the German business magazine Capital.  Prof. Dr. Philipp Sandner is head of the Frankfurt School Blockchain Center (FSBC) at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management. The expertise of Prof. Sandner in particular includes blockchain technology, crypto assets, distributed ledger technology (DLT), Euro-on-Ledger, initial coin offerings (ICOs), security tokens (STOs), digital transformation and entrepreneurship. The FSBC advises companies concerning their blockchain activities, e.g. the first European crypto fund, various startups and corporations.

She holds a MSc in International Political Economy from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

She is also a supervisory board member at the Fürstlich Castell'sche Bank. She uses her entrepreneurial passion as an active early stage investor. Previously she has been the CEO of Interritus Limited and a supervisory board member at Kommunalkredit Austria AG. In the blockchain environment, he gained valuable experience in the project planning and conception of blockchain projects at a German energy company. He also has expertise in the area of crypto currency analysis. He completed his studies in International Business Administration and a Master in Management in Frankfurt, Moscow, Lima and Seoul.

Philipp Schulden

Philipp Schulden works as a blockchain expert at the Frankfurt School Blockchain Center. In the blockchain environment, he gained valuable experience in the project planning and conception of blockchain projects at a German energy company. He also has expertise in the area of crypto currency analysis. He completed his studies in International Business Administration and a Master in Management in Frankfurt, Moscow, Lima and Seoul.
